Dr. Geetha was born and raised at Thalanadu, Vadakkekara in Poonjar, in Meenachil taluka of Kottayam district in Kerala. After her schooling, she joined for her Bachelors in Ayurvedic medicine (BAMS) at the prestigious, First rank holder of the Government Ayurveda College, Tripunithura, the second oldest ayurveda college in public sector in Kerala and the only ayurvedic institute of its kind in Central Kerala. She is a University 3rd rank holder. She married Mr K V Shaji, proprietor of Viswanath Ayurveda Pharmaceuticals, Vyttila, established by late P K Viswanathan Vaidyar in 1955 hailing from a parambarya Ayurveda family. From then she focused on manufacturing treatment oriented ayurveda medicines. From thence onwards KV Shaji stands as the backbone of the center and supports his wife, in all her endeavors. They are blessed with two daughters Dr Jitha and Dr Greeshma.
She is an uncompromising adherent of classical Ayurveda and stands for health and healing unto the fullness of life. She from her personal experience realised that surgery recommended cases could be cured with organic and herbal ayurvedic preparations. Dr Geetha has whole heartedly made many contributions to the welfare of many people through Ayurveda for the last 34 years.
