To understand the secret of his success, we must begin at the front end of his life. He was from a meagre income group family and was a very ordinary sort of boy with no particular initiative or ideas. He completed his schooling in SRV GOVT HSS, Ernakulam and went to Maharaja’s College for his Pre university. Later he joined Menon & Krishnan college to do his graduation. He was very much interested in Commerce and Accountancy. So, he with full heart opted these subjects for his graduation. One among the four children of a low-income household he took the responsibility along with his father to support his family. With open hands he accepted the job in a private chemical manufacturing company in Kochi in 1973.The company faced crisis due to the mismanagement and was closed. The end of one thing leads to the beginning of another. Another door was opened with an offer of manager post of a chemical manufacturing company where he worked till 1981.The emolument was omparatively higher than the first salary.
But ill luck was eagerly waiting in the form of closure of the company. Back from the brink of destruction after one year he owned a com pany by changing the asset and liabilities under his name. There were many roadblocks to overcome like financial constraints due to the investment of huge amount. The output was not satisfactory though invested 15 lakhs to reconstruct the plant of the company. The leap to expand his company before he was ready caused loss of talent, credibility, and product. Keeping a small business afloat in difficult economic times is challenging. Unfortunately, there is no set playbook to follow to ride out the storm and right the ship.
There was a wealth drain, due to high taxation, interest rates, and exploitation of profits. Being a new business owner, it was hard to know which strategies would yield the best results and as a result the ongoing drain in finance befell. To optimize a new business was not very easy. Realised that there was nothing better than working for oneself, having one’s own business, and being in charge of own destiny. With this in mind, he started a dosa-batter business at home in 1993. His business mind knew well that this business is low on investment and high on returns every day. This made him a foodpreneur. He and his better half struggled hard for years to overcome the liabilities. They took it as a challenge to lead a strict moderate life for years until they got a foothold. It was a winning batter tale.
With over 40 years of experience devising and delivering his own privately owned business ventures, struggling against the odds for several years he became affluent. His new project gave him more confidence to step into another business zone. He joined LIC as an agent with a good work experience in MET Life With a career spanning over two and a half decades in the insurance sector, Swami Sir as affectionately called became the apple of eye to all…Even in the pandemic period he could help one of his clients to overcome a financial strain. He strives to provide tailor-made insurance solution to all. He also extends his hand to the needy in the society.
