Similarly, greatness in life is all about the right choices one make.” A group of four optimistic individual joined together with a dream of taking people to new heights which led to the formation of INFRA ELEVATORS INDIA PVT LTD, a Cochin based entrepreneurship specialized in elevator manufacturing and maintenance. The chronicle of unparalleled brilliance began with a sense of modern luxury to tune in with the present time. The master brain behind this venture is none other than Mr. Manoj Kumar.

Manoj was born and raised in Perumbalam, an island located in Alappuzha district a quaint, rustic village. The accessibility to the pretty little paradise lying on the Vembanad lake isonly by boat. Both of his parents were teachers and he was blessed to spent his school days with then. Like the famous Chacko mash of ‘Sphadiakm’ movie, his father a math teacher too believed that math defines every aspect of the universe…The three of his older siblings tended to be more intelligent, excelled in studies settled in Dubai and US. There are only a few things that are genuinely appreciated in the society and being good at studies is quite high on the list. His parents encour[1]aged him to study hard and make something of himself. He joined Aquinas College, Edacochin for Pre-degree and later did his Poly technic course in Electrical and Electronics. After gaining 3 years experience in EC Elevators, he tried for a job in UAE. As there was widespread outrage and concern over the move of nuclear bomb test at Pokhran, his trip was cancelled the experience he attained form small companies served him a lot in the future.

Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality. In 1993 he returned from Dubai to keep his promise to marry a woman he loved fervently. He determined to stay back in India and though again joined EC Elevators, quitted with a strong mind to start a lift company. There’s nothing quite as exciting — or terrifying! — as starting own business when the full family opposed for the leap.

As someone once said, nothing is a waste of time if one uses the experience wisely. Thus, Infra started off in 2005 as a dream in the minds of four enterprising individuals. To start a business and bring it to successful fruition takes a sound mix of confidence, risk tolerance, self-discipline, determination, and competitiveness. Simply using talent and professionalism he started to build a worthwhile business without the backing from investors and having little or no starting capital. His great dedication, sound work ethics, and pure single-mindedness facilitated to achieve success this way. The hurdles which he had to jump over during his journey was humongous. He has not only found a firm footing in his area of expertise but has expanded the market of his products to other states and countries. The company has since continued to grow, branching out into several markets and establishing itself as a prominent lift manufacturer. The founder directors of Infra are its pillars of success, all the four directors are from back[1]grounds with root level work experience in the field of elevators & escalators technology.

Qualified service persons and technicians are available 24 hours at all the branches. Various types of customized Elevators on specially developed technology are also produced. There are 8 branches and 18 service points all over India. The company is aiming at doubling its production with the launch of a new factory. It has two existing manufacturing units with a combined capacity to produce 180 lifts per year in the district. “With the new unit their capacity will be raised to 365 units per year,’’ he said. This is the dream of the four founders of INFRA. Though the production and supply chain system was mostly disrupted due to widespread of the coronavirus pandemic they are on the way form surviving to thriving. Project delays during the pandemic has affected most of the ventures, but the market is moving positively now. To increase the production and enhance the trading activities are the future plans of INFRA.

Active on all kinds of online and offline platforms INFRA is participating in most of the trade shows and summits and are using trade magazines and online advertisements for their brand promotion.

It is true that Manoj kumar gets a lot of emotional support from his loving family that comprises of his beloved mother, teacher wife and two loving children. For entrepreneurs, finding leisure time can often be a difficult task. Manoj says,” Every small business float on an ocean of labor. However, that doesn’t mean that you have to drown in it.” He spends two hours for physical activity regularly. Watching old Malayalam films, going for trekking are his other hobbies. He loves to travel and takes his family along with him. One thing is clear in this world that nothing comes without effort. if you want to achieve something you need to do efforts. And efforts never go in vain. Path can be hard and several times it may seems that you can’t achieve but you can.
